today is a lucky day for me!

BECAUSE I WON THE GRAND PRIZE IN A NO-SMOKING SIGNAGE DESIGN CONTEST!

its been more than 10 years since the last time i won a first prize! im so excited and i really felt freaking lucky for winning this, because i did not really put any effort in designing the whole thing, i put more effort on thinking how to make my design stands out from the rest, and it works!

here's my winning piece:

ok, hahahaha you might not understand what im doing!

please read the rasionale below:

i was actually inspired by some kind of puzzle map, which would makes people easily understand the concept and be enjoyable at the same time. i used multi colours for those dolls that do not smoke and use only grayscale for those that smoke and that will create a contrast and direct message for the person that sees it, and i believe that everyone wants a colourful and happy lifestyle, right?

and, im using dolls instead of human being so that it will not too direct, unlike other no-smoking signage which is too direct, will makes people not very confortable with it. (just like the cigarette box, which makes me wanna puke each time i saw it haha)

the combination of all the dolls created a very simple but eye-catchy signage that will attract people from kids to adult, 'no-smoking' is a very important message that should be brought to every level of shoppers. besides, i think an interactive signage is a best signage to place in the washroom, that people will really spend a few seconds to see it and would understand the important meaning that contained!

thank you ♥
