Korean food is always our favourite and we were so excited to see new Korean restaurant in Penang, hope there will be more and more coming in! we were there around 6pm on Friday, decided to go earlier after reading Hui Hui's blog, because it would be really crowded during dinner hour, and yes, it was full-house around 7pm that day.

the restaurant is quite spacious with lots of seating and partition walls, the smell of grilled and sizzling meat is sure to set those taste buds going!

#selfie while waiting for others! :)

four types of banchan, all good!

Samgyeopsal // RM28 per serving (min. 2 serving)

yummy yummy sliced pork belly with lots of kimchi!

lettuce for the meat

Sutbul Dak Galbi // RM28 per serving (min. 2 serving)
grilled chicken marinated in special sauce

Dak galbi // RM26 per serving (min. 2 serving)

the famous stir-fried chicken with onion, cabbage and sweet potato with gochujang sauce, we added doubokki for RM6!

Fried rice // RM6

Kimchi jigae // RM18
the kimchi soup was my favourite of the night—spicy sour broth with a good amount of chicken slice, mushroom and kimchi, addicting and comforting. and yes, it served with steamed rice!

love birds busy with their fried rice :p

overall the food was satisfying, the only thing is that they do not have enough staffs, only  4 person working serving 15+ tables, we had to refill our own banchan and drinks by ourself and waited for a while for our food to be served! the boss was kind enough to cancel the service charges and our kimchi jjigae was 'service' that night!

there’s a saying in Korea that “the customer is king.” to keep customers happy (and to keep them coming back), many businesses in Korea will give away free things — called “service” (서비스 – seobiseu).

and someone tells you it’s on the house, it’s not only free stuff, it’s a big smile :D
