Weekend brunch@The Black Kettle Cafe

Tuesday, August 18, 2015

sipping my cup of coffee at this new green corner in town.

went for a brunch date with our long-time-no-see-friend last saturday! spending
time together to have breakfast/brunch is the simplest way to make my day.
it is also the best way to kick start a weekend! decided to went to this new
cafe located at Beach Street, still very new and they are only serving brunch,
burgers and sandwiches, full menu will be available soon.

our table at a quiet corner

Black Kettle's menu

Caffe latte // RM10     Hot chocolate // RM10

Matcha latte // RM11

Ricotta Cheese Pancake // RM24

craving for something sweet in the middle of the day so i had this. the pancake was
served warm with honey, kind of my liking for a comfort food :) served with mixed
berries, oranges, avocado, a crunchy handful of nuts, sprinkled with mint, rockets and
orange zest. the combination of flavours and texture was a delight!

Egg your own way with toast // RM18

Chilli omelette //RM16

Croque Madame // RM18

Benedict style poached egg // RM18
Those eggs were poached perfectly! smoked salmon and sautéed spinach, light and
refreshing, a perfect start to the day.

Soft shell crab burger // RM28

the soft shell crab was deep fried to crisp and surprisingly it was still
juicy and can taste the freshness of the crab! matching with lime mayo and
micro herb, it tasted superb! served with fries and cherry tomatoes.

Black Kettle is separated into a few sections: the bakery, coffee place and
dinning area at the back. i think upstairs of the cafe is still under construction
and it will be another nice space of the cafe.

their breads and loafs are freshly baked daily!

The Black Kettle's exact location is at the corner of Beach Street and Chulia Street,
just opposite the fire brigade of Beach Street! and for drivers, there is a huge
parking space just opposite the cafe at Beach Street, first hour for RM2.40!
