Chef Tasting Menu@Heaven Gate

brought the boyfriend to try out the chef tasting menu at Heaven Gate last saturday night!
Heaven Gate is one of our favourite restaurant because we had so much memories as
we celebrated our valentines' day here, we love the ambience, the warm service and
the good food that never failed us.

date of the night 

the lower floor was fully occupied so we were brought to the second floor. although i've
been here for several times but i still have to say that i really love the environment very
much, so romantic and comfortable.

was served with their freshly made bread and salted butter. the butter melted
immediately in the bread as it was served warm and fresh, with a crispy exterior
and a soft interior.

Amuse Bouchee
had seared tuna with soba for amuse bouchee, i like the tuna still slightly raw at the
center, went so well with the sprightly soba noodle!

Foie Gras Creme Brulee
smooth and it melted in my tongue dulcetly.... beautifully decorated on a black 
pepper crisp, it was really good! 

Crispy Soft Shell Crab
deep fried soft shell crab served with quail egg and completed with sesame dressing,
it was crispy and flavourful, yummy!

Tomato soup (not included in the chef tasting menu)

the tomato soup looks clearer but it was still intense in flavour. my first time having
tofu in a tomato soup, adding some soft biting and soft texture, not bad!

Air Flown Salmon
chef tasting menu offering two choices of main course: air flown salmon or duck breast.
i had air flown salmon, served on smashed veggies and with lemon mayo. the salmon 
was nicely pan-fried, crispy skin and soft interior, slightly raw in the middle, matching
with lemon mayo was toothsome!!!

House Specialty Duck Breast 

highly recommend Heaven Gate's house specialty duck breast! boyfriend had this and 
he was so in love with this dish. every slice was soft and tender, nicely cooked until
it was pinkish inside, so juicy..... yums!!!

Pandan Creme Brulee

Yogurt Passion Fruit Mousse Cake
our night ended with two desserts: pandan creme brulee and yogurt passion fruit 
mousse cake, both were good especially pandan creme brulee, so sweet and smooooooth 
with very strong pandan aroma! the mousse cake was nice too, slightly sour and fruity,
a prefect dessert to end our night ♥
