enjoyed a scrumptious dinner at Ruins Of Victoria (ROV) last week and i would say it is one
of the most interesting restaurant in georgetown, a restaurant full of surprises! ROV is located at
Victoria Street, next to China House. from the exterior you couldn't imagine how spacious and
beautiful it is in the restaurant!

a small courtyard area where you can enjoy some natural sunlight! a few sections on ROV - lounge
bar at the front part, restaurant at the back and private dining area upstairs!

another area of ROV, elegant and comfortable space completed with a wide selection of premium
wine to complement your meal and enhance the ambience.

have a look at our feast! we started off with the ROV platter:

ROV platter

chicken wings, fish fingers, lamb chops, crispy squid, prawn flitters and meatballs,
served with four matching sauce - bbq, tatar, back pepper and mint sauce

Thai glass noodle and beef salad
mixed salad with glass noodles topped with slices of girlled steak

Tahu sumbat with Kuah Kacang
stuffed beancurd with sprout, julienne carrots and cucumber, served with peanut sauce

Ayam berempah
Seafood chowder
love both of the soups! for ayam berempah it has chunks of chicken in spiced soup served with
slices of baguette and seafood chowder is creamy and smooth, very very rich in seafood and
served with garlic bread.

Mutton masala pizza
personally prefer mutton masala pizza which is full of curried lamb and masala paste, topped
with onions, bell peppers and mozzarella! for smokey it was good too, bbq and tomato sauce,
chicken sausage, beef salami, onions, bell peppers and mozzarella! their pizza is really really
good because of the thin and crispy crust!

ROV char koay teow
ROV char koay teow is an off-menu item, perfectly fried and it was full of seafood - big
prawns and squid, so yummy!

Seafood tomyam spaghetti
first try a tomyam spaghetti and it was tantalizingly delicious! love the tomyam fragrant filled
every mouthful of the spaghetti!

Sambal tumis prawn
sambal tumis prawns are super good, served with turmeric rice, pickles and papadum!

Chicken saltimboca
stuffed chicken with prawn and seaweed served with rosemary sauce, mashed potato and
sauteed vegetables.

Ribeye steak
a medium-well ribeye steak served with bearnaise sauce, mashed potato and sauteed asparagus

Salmon kebab
never try any salmon in a kebab style before and it was surprisingly yummy!
the salmon was nicely grilled to medium-cooked and it was super juicy!!!
served with raisin cashewnut rice and grilled veggies, their raisin cashewnut rice
was delish!!! cant believe we finished all of the rice that night

Mediterranean lamb shank
served with raisin cashewnut rice and grilled veggies too! their lamb shank is my favourite
of the night, taste a little heavier but it was ok when have it with rice! it was so well-cooked,
juicy and soft, love it!

Handmade ice cream
last but not least, dessert! we tried four flavours that night - basil, gula melaka,
cinnamon and coconut! all were good but as a basil lover, the basil flavoured scoop is
highly recommended! was wondering why basil ice cream is not green hahaha

Many thanks to ROV for the warm hosting!
